About the Program
Communication is built. We help build it.
Early communication skills are the foundation for language, learning, social development and confidence. For many children, the path is not automatic, and caregivers can find themselves unsure what to do, or how to do it.
The 4 Week Early Communication Skills Group brings together a small number of children and their caregivers, alongside Neta Care speech pathologists. Each session combines hands-on activities, modelled strategies and time for caregivers to practise techniques they can use at home, every day.
The point is not just what happens in the room. The point is what happens after.
WEEk by week
What happens in each session.

WEEK 2
Engagement
Strategies to build attention, shared focus and back-and-forth interaction. The bedrock of all communication.
WEEK 3
Modelling
Practical techniques to model language at the right level, expand on what your child does, and create more opportunities for communication.
WEEK 4
Take Home
Consolidation, troubleshooting and a clear plan for what to keep doing after the program ends.
WHO IS IT FOR
The right fit for your family.
This program is designed for:
• Children aged approximately 2 to 5 years old
• Children with delayed or emerging communication
• Children diagnosed with or being assessed for developmental conditions
• Families who want practical strategies, not theory
• NDIS participants and self-funded families
THE CAREGIVER ROLE
Why caregivers attend too.
A speech pathologist sees your child for an hour. You see them every day. The most effective early communication outcomes happen when the people around the child use the right strategies consistently.
This program treats caregivers as the most important practitioner in the child's life, because that is what you are.
